Zionist forces banishes Ibrahimi Mosque’s director and its chief warden from holy site

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) delivered an order banishing Moataz Abu Sneina, director of the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil City, and Hammam Abu Markhiya, chief warden of the Mosque, from the Islamic holy site for several days.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) delivered an order banishing Moataz Abu Sneina, director of the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil City, and Hammam Abu Markhiya, chief warden of the Mosque, from the Islamic holy site for several days.

Abu Sneina said that the IOF summoned him to the Telem settlement police station, where he was handed a notice ordering him and Abu Markhiya to stay away from the Ibrahimi Mosque and its premises for 15 days.

This military order against the Mosque’s administrators is part of escalating Israeli practices aimed at Judaizing the Ibrahimi Mosque and the Old City of al-Khalil.

At the end of last year, Israeli war minister Yisrael Katz issued a decision stripping the al-Khalil municipality of its administrative authority over the Ibrahimi Mosque and transferring it to the Israeli army’s civil administration.
